Rain tagged me again, and I still haven’t done the previous one—anyways, here we go:
- I always have a song playing in my head, like background music, except when I’m sleeping. The volume turns very low when I’m talking to someone or on the phone.
- I’m fascinated by all things Scandinavian, especially the climate and Viking culture.
- I can go a few days without speaking a single word, even though I do go out on those days.
- I gaze endlessly at this picture almost daily, and no, I’m not suicidal or depressed.
- I love words that begin with the prefix “fore-” (foretold, forewarn, foreshadowed, etc.).
- I’ve memorized a lot of content from “Boston Legal” seasons 1-4, “Lord of the Rings” books, and “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie scripts. For the record, I’m not a fan of Narnia or Harry Potter.
- I’m addicted to TV, not for watching it, but I just need it on, usually muted. For example, the satellite channel has been showing “Robin Hood” on Show Cinema 3 since Friday, repeated every 2 hours. I’ve changed the channel maybe five times since then.
- Lately, I find myself driving to the Dead Sea after dark. There’s a public parking spot a few hundred meters past the hotels’ security checkpoint. I go there with two large cups of coffee from Dunkin’ Donuts. Sometimes I stay until dawn on weekends and drive home. Other times, I go with a friend. We either talk until we tire or we don’t utter a single word, just gazing into the blackness of the Dead Sea in front of us, listening to whatever sounds the wind might carry. Honestly, it’s a liberating activity.
Is this weird, or is it just me?
